Shanghai Vegetable Rice

Ingredients
White Rice
2 Cups
Bok Choy
200g
Oriental Sausage
150g
Dried Mushroom(Soaked)
8 Pcs
Garlic Paste
2 Tbsp
Corn(canned)
300g
Salt
To taste
Instructions
1.
Soak the dried mushrooms in water for at least 4 hours and feels plump to the touch.
2.
Pour the white rice in the inner pot, wash and drain.
3.
Chop Bok Choy and set aside for use later. Chop the rehydrated dried mushroom and Oriental sausage.
4.
Add the rehydrated dried mushroom, Oriental sausage, corn and garlic paste into the inner pot containing the uncooked white rice and mix well.
5.
Pour 3.5 cups of water into the inner pot(The water the dried mushrooms have been soaked in can be used for a richer flavour). Then add 1.5 cups of water into the outer pot of the cooker. Turn the cooker on and flick the middle switch down.
6.
After the middle switch has flicked back up, carefully open the lid, add the diced bok choy and mix well. Added another 0.2 cup of water to the outer pot of the cooker and press the middle switch down again.
7.
When the middle switch has flicked back up again, the Shanghai Vegetable Rice is ready to be served.
